My Story
My name is Erik Williamson. I’m an Australian, a husband, dad and I love everything on two wheels, living in and working out of Brisbane - but please don’t hold that against me! I’ve worked all over the world from London to LA and New York, New Zealand to Singapore, Thailand and countless other places on the map. I’m a professional photographer, not just with technical expertise and the qualifications to match, but an intuitive understanding of light, locations & talent. If it has any ability to make or break a great shot, I’ve spent the last 30 years discovering how to shape it, tweak it, fix it or just work around it and yes I started young. I’ll be the first to admit there’s always something new to learn and this curiosity has helped me throughout my career. I don’t photograph subjects or objects. I photograph the way they should make you feel. It might sound simple, but it’s a philosophy that has served me well over the years and led to longstanding relationships with some of the world’s biggest brands. No matter how impossible the request, I assume perfection is possible and I always aim to over deliver. My goal is your complete satisfaction, and that’s how I actively embark on every project. If that’s all you ever know about me, it’s enough to say you know me very, very well.
What I do and how I do it
I’m an equal opportunity photographer. I believe every project, from a single portrait shot to a tactically challenging and highly complex three-month, multi-continent automotive shoot deserves my full and undivided attention and expertise.
I provide a full photographic service, from concept, production, locations, lighting and crew, through to retouching and final delivery in any format and across any desired platform, on budget and on time. Our estimates always reflect all final costs, ensuring there are no surprises and this approach to planning, structure, production and shooting means that I’ve built strong long term relationships with clients over the last 22 years, many of which trust me to continue shaping and delivering all their photographic, and motion needs, on brand, on time and on budget.
